How to get rid of heel spur?
GaitLine is designed to reduce heel spur (a bony growth on the heel bone that can cause pain). Here you can read more about the causes of heel spur and how GaitLine shoes can help solve the problem.
When you use GaitLine shoes, three important things happen: - the heel bone is realigned, - the arch of the foot is supported, and - body weight is precisely balanced through the foot. This reduces misloads and pressure on the heel bone, where the heel spur forms. Thus, the pain associated with your heel spur is also reduced.
9 out of 10 customers report significant improvement after a short period of use.
"Choice of shoes can be an important factor in prevention and treatment of heel spur."

Why does a heel spur occur?
Is it painful to walk and stand? Do you have pain under the heel when you get up in the morning? It could be a heel spur, a bony growth on the heel bone that can cause pain.
The problem arises as a result of prolonged misload or overload on the heel bone.
When you walk, it's the heel that hits the ground first. The heel bone largely determines how body weight is balanced through the foot forward towards the toes. The fact is that many people have heel bones that roll too much inward. This causes an exaggerated inward rolling of the entire foot (overpronation), which in turn leads to misloads on the heel bone and can create a heel spur.
If you walk a lot on hard surfaces and/or wear the wrong shoes, the risk of inward rolling of the heel bone and overpronation is increased. This increases the chance of misloading the heel bone and the likelihood of developing a heel spur.
Why does Gaitline help to get rid of heel spur?
There are three factors in the GaitLine shoe's sole construction that help to prevent the development of heel spur:
- 1. The sole balances the heel bone when the heel meets pressure from the surface, thus reducing the stress on the area where the heel spur forms.
- 2. The sole ensures that the arch of the foot maintains its natural shape, which reduces the load on the heel bone.
- 3. The sole distributes body weight in a beneficial way throughout the entire foot. This reduces misloads and pressure on the heel bone when standing and walking, and reduces the risk of heel spur.
Shoes against heel spur
If you have already developed a heel spur, you should consider which shoes you use in everyday life. Shoes can reduce heel pain, but also make them worse.
Many soft running shoes can feel very comfortable at the point of purchase. However, the soft sole material tends to wear out in a short time and the sole changes shape. The "worn" sole can result in the foot being directed into incorrect positions, which provokes the foot's construction. Heel spur is a common consequence of such misalignments.
You should therefore use shoes with a firmer sole material that is capable of providing sufficient support to the foot when standing and walking. The GaitLine sole's construction and choice of materials are made for this very purpose.
